Alarm Company Vivint Opens “Innovation Center”

Those looking for home alarm systems in the near future will be happy customers. One of the top alarm companies, Vivint, recently opened their “Innovation Center”. The alarm company based in Utah has expressed the desire to be “vertically integrated” and “in control of all its components”. Vivint essentially wants to ensure they continue to innovate and drive products to market that not only make life easier for homeowners and their security needs, but also make their alarm and home automation options better.

It was recently announced that 2GIG Technologies, the equipment provider of Vivint, was purchased by Linear, a manufacturing company based out of California. Vivint will work with Linear to have their own proprietary Control Panel manufactured. Vivint currently uses the 2GIG Go! Control Panel.
