Are DIY Alarm Systems Worth It?

DIY alarm systems (or Do it yourself alarm systems) are relatively new to the alarm system industry. They, for whatever reason, have a reputation for being of lesser quality. This is simply not true. Just because YOU will have to install the alarm system yourself, does not mean that the home alarm system works any worse (or better) than a traditional professionally installed alarm system.

Let us explain why installing it yourself is WAY better than getting a professional installation.

#2- It’s easy and only takes 30-60 minutes to complete.

#3- If you have a problem, you can call your alarm system company to get them to help you figure it out.

#4- It’s not like alarm systems are particularly complicated. All DIY alarm systems are actually wireless alarm systems. A wireless alarm system means that everything is wireless (obviously) but it also means that there is not mess for you to figure out.

#5- You’ve already done all the work before the alarm system even gets there. Ad you know your home much better than any stranger walking in, whether they’re a professional or not.

#6- The alarm system quality is the same, if not better (since more and more companies are going exclusively DIY)

So, you see… It really is better to have a DIY alarm system! It’s easier and cheaper for you! You don’t have to pay for a professional to come in and install the alarm system because you an do it yourself just as well. In conclusion: We definitely think DIY alarm systems are worth it!
