FrontPoint Security Releases Location Based Services

Alarm System Report has been hot on the trail of all the new alarm technology being released this year.  One of the coolest new technologies is Location Based Services & Notifications for your home alarm system.  One of Alarm System Report’s Top Alarm Companies, FrontPoint Security, announced the release of “Geo-Services” today.

These location based alarm services from FrontPoint Security add an extra layer of protection and peace of mind as they add-on to the Interactive Monitoring and Remote Access capabilities that come FrontPoint Security’s wireless alarm system.  Interactive Monitoring allows customers of FrontPoint Security to access their alarm system from their iPhone, Android or any web enabled device to arm/disarm the alarm system, receive instant notifications about alarm activity and manage alarm system settings.   The new Ge0-Services can be used by customers who use the iPhone 4 and up as well as Android phones version 1.6 and up.

With FrontPoint Security and the new Location Based alarm services customers will be able to set up a Geo-Fence around their properties in which they have their wireless alarm system installed (a Geo-Fence is a virtual perimiter around your home that customers set up on their smartphones) .  After setting up the Geo-Fence alarm customers can rest assured that they will never forget to arm their alarm system again.  When customers leave their home their iPhone or Android will send them a notification if their alarm system is not armed and will remind them to arm their alarm system, which can be done straight from the iPhone or Android application.

These new location services are the next step in wireless alarm system technology and will make it much easier for alarm customers to make sure their alarm system is in the correct arming mode when they leave the home.  These services will also be expanded in the future to include Ge0-fencing for cameras and any home automation equipment.  For instance, a customer may set up a Geo-Fence and have their system turn on/off lights when they leave, or have the doors lock or their cameras start to record.  The possibilities are great with location services and alarm systems; and FrontPoint has taken the next step to allow alarm customers more peace of mind and ease of use.  At this time arming/disarming is the only location based service offered by FrontPoint Security but the home automation location services should be offered soon.
