ADT Showcasing “Pulse” Service on HGTV

As part of HGTV’s Smart Home Giveaway the television station has partnered with ADT and built a 2,400 square foot Smart Home in Nashville, TN that they’ll be showcasing over the coming months. HGTV is looking to showcase how ADT’s Pulse service can improve home automation, energy efficiency, and monitored home security. ADT Pulse is the company’s signature interactive service that offers full monitored home security, surveillance, and home automation. Pulse customers can automate appliances such as lights and thermostats, and a full smart home installation could include automated fireplaces, audio-visual controls, door locks, and more.

The HGTV Smart Home Giveaway runs from April 15th to June 9th, during which time HGTV will feature the home and its decor as well as the ADT Pulse system and how it increases energy efficiency, secures your home, and makes your life a little easier. In a statement released by ADT the VP of Residential Marketing, Tom Jackson, said that showcasing the ADT Pulse system on HGTV will help customers understand how an ADT system can improve daily life. He said, “Integrating ADT Pulse into the HGTV Smart Home provides an opportunity to showcase how ADT can help transform a house into a home where families can feel secure and in control.”

As many of the top alarm companies are moving towards security and automation combinations ADT is one that is leading the charge and offering customers complete security and home management for a great price. ADT still provides installation, and will install all security and automation devices. There are also many DIY alarm companies offering home automation services such as Protect America and FrontPoint Security. As these companies compete for customers they’ll only improve their offerings, and it’s exciting to know that home security and energy management is only going to be get better.
