Best Alarm System Spotlight: Vivint Home Security

We’re onto covering what we think is one of the best alarm systems out there for you. If you want the newest and coolest equipment protecting your home, the Vivint is your alarm system. They completely revamped their products from the ground up a few years ago and have found their niche in the market as the trendiest of the alarm systems out there. There are a couple negatives to Vivint, which include a professional installation and slightly higher prices… but we strongly feel that Vivint’s positives greatly outweigh its negatives.

Vivint partnered with 2Gig Technologies to provide alarm system customers with the only cellular two-way touchscreen control panel on the market. Vivint calls this technology “Go!Control.” This Go! Control can be used a few different ways. You can have traditional home alarm system, or you can include a home automation package… or both. The home automation package costs a little extra money but it certainly has the ability to save you money down the road. You can access your home via smartphone, tablet or computer and allows you to arm/disarm you system, turn off lights, lock doors, change the thermostat… all remotely. This is one of the things that separates Vivint from the rest and makes it one of them alarm systems out there.

Vivint also has designed their own app for smartphones and has made a string effort in the past to increase customer satisfaction and customer service. As far as we’re concerned, home alarm systems are exactly “cool” or “trendy” but Vivint certainly makes you think they are!
